Elspeth Moon, Intern Counselor

The acronym LGBTGEQIAP+ is simply the newest and most currently inclusive terminology to refer to the Queer community. I have included this image to help educate my community and provide the language for my clients and their loved ones to communicate about their experiences.
Image sourced from SAIGE website. SAIGE is an organization that advocates for the Queer community and their needs within the counseling profession. They are a suborganization of the American Counselors Association (ACA), which provides education for counselors and the ethical values everyone in the profession is required to follow.

Elspeth Moon is a student member of both the ACA and SAIGE.
Moon Counseling Service
Living in rural Nebraska as a member of the LGBT+ community can present its challenges, and I understand firsthand as an openly queer individual raised in the Panhandle. As an intern mental health counselor, I'm dedicated to helping you navigate these obstacles and any others you may encounter, regardless of your identity. My focus on the unique issues faced by the LGBT community stems from my belief in the importance of having someone who truly understands your experiences. I'm committed to supporting your journey towards self-actualization and fulfillment by providing a space for you to explore your life and goals while determining the changes you may need to make to achieve them.
Currently, I am practicing at Fair Winds Counseling, led by Leta Voigt, LIMHP. She is an experienced counselor that has been providing group and individual counseling in the area for over 20 years.
